HIROSE Electric Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Japan) and AIO Core Co., Ltd. entered into a capital and business alliance and agreed to jointly develop high-performance active optical connectors.
The companies will jointly develop optical active connector products that meet the stringent requirements of medical, automotive applications by combining silicon photonics chips using quantum dot laser technology developed by IOCORE with Hirose Electric Co., Ltd.'s modularization and packaging technologies.
